Growing up in a family of carpenters, it’s no surprise that Ricky Russert was so interested in home design. Born in Kennewick, Washington, he was raised in the house built by his father and grandfather, so you can imagine home building being a part of his daily life. After graduating from High School, he received a scholarship to play college baseball and started his major in Business.
It wasn’t until after his sophomore year of college when Ricky hung up his baseball cleats and decided to give acting a chance. Ricky has had a very successful acting career since, guest starring in various projects including The Walking Dead, MacGyver, and Banshee, as well as movies like Ride Along 2, The Ravine, and I, Tonya. In 2020, Ricky decided to expand his career horizon by obtaining his Real Estate license after 15 years of full-time acting. Connecting people to their new home is something Ricky is excited to do, much like building a home from the ground up.
In Ricky’s first year in Residential Real Estate at Engel & Volkers Atlanta, he achieved The Atlanta Board of REALTORS® Top Producer Designation, with over 4 million dollars of transactions in less than a calendar year. His first years' transactions included a premier downtown two-bedroom condominium at The W Residences, the highest recorded single-family home sale in Reynoldstown, and a 5-acre farm (1.4 + million) in Alpharetta. In early 2021, Ricky listed and put under contract a 1.3 million dollar home in Morningside.
Ricky’s teaming up with Julian Rather and Jeremy Smith’s Intown Advisors team at the inception of his Real Estate career has provided him with both market insights and 30-plus years of market experience to draw from to help guide his growing client base in their Real Estate transactions. Together, they work as a team and provide backup for each other, so that their respective clients' needs are always addressed.
Having such a wide range of skill sets to draw from, Ricky, Julian, and Jeremy were able to take on a new construction single-family, residential, and live/work townhome project in Oakhurst in early 2021. It took only one quarter of 2021 for Ricky to surpass his incredible first-year transaction numbers. A significant portion of this was an ever-increasing referral stream from his first-year client base.
