Fans of the Netflix series “Cobra Kai” will recognize this Atlanta-area mansion that’s back on the market.
Located in Marietta, Georgia—30 minutes north of Atlanta—the house that’s featured as the show’s main character Daniel LaRusso’s (played by Ralph Macchio) home was listed for sale last week for $2.85 million. Though the series, which is a spinoff of the 1984 film “The Karate Kid,” is set in Los Angeles, most of it was filmed in the Atlanta area, according to IMDb.
The “Cobra Kai” crew eventually built a set on a sound stage that was used for LaRusso’s home’s interiors, but the Marietta house’s exteriors, including the pool area, were used throughout the entirety of the series, according to listing agent Kelly Anderson of Engel & Volkers Atlanta.
Built in 2010, the home last traded hands in 2022, when the current owner, using an LLC, bought it for $2.4 million, according to records on PropertyShark. Since then, the owner has used the property as a short-term vacation rental, and it’s still available to book, Anderson said.
Sitting on about an acre, the Mediterranean-style home spans more than 9,200 square feet. At the center of the home is a double-height atrium, with stepping stones crossing a small pond with a waterfall, providing “peaceful sounds” and natural light to all of the home, according to the listing.
“You can hear the waterfall running constantly throughout the home,” Anderson said. “It doesn’t feel like you’re in Atlanta at all—it feels like you’re in Mexico or the Mediterranean.”
